The St.Louis Blues have gotten their name from the type of music called the “Blues.” The Blues joined the NHL during the time period of 1968 and 1970. As the Blues being on of the six teams added to the NHL when it had expanded to what they call it the “original six” The Blues were carried by their left wing Brian Sutter and centre Bernie Federko won a total of 45 games, posting the best record in St.Louis Blues history up to that point and captured a division title but their playoff struggles continued as they once again were eliminated in their second post season series.
