The patient is a 69-year-old female who was brought to St. Joe's ER by her son who had allegedly taken her to the nursing home in North Carolina and had driven her directly from North Carolina to St. Joe's ER. Her medical history is significant for 2 previous CVA the last one in November 2015 that allegedly rendered her incontinent and paralyzed from the waist down. The patient had a PICC placed at that time because of aspiration risk. It is also to be noted the ED record indicates she also has a nephrostomy tube in place. Evidently the family felt that she was not being probably cared for an North Carolina and that is why the removed her from the nursing without anyone's permission or with a discharge order and brought her here.
