It’s that time of the year again! Leaves falling, weather changing. But, there’s one thing everyone looks forward to; cozy sweaters and the ever-so famous 90s style. On the third Tuesday of every month, the students at St. Joan of Arc show-off their style at the annul civies event. From the denim looks to chunky knit sweaters, the students here, never fail to keep up with these trends.
This Fall, the students got rid of their summer clothes and strapped on their long coats and wind-breakers. For this civies, the trend that seemingly grabbed the attention of many is the “cute but comfy look.” For many high school students, it is safe to say that going with comfort is ‘the right way’. Denim was a must-have back in the 90’s and has been around for awhile, but is making an appearance once again. This season, oversized denim jackets have taken over the internet, streets and the St. Joan of Arc hallways as it is a favourite for many. Along with this trend, is the comeback of the denim-on-denim look. A few student’s outfits were inspired by this trend that they stated were “essential for this season.” Along with the denim return, comes overalls. Overalls are back in stores everywhere and are also a vital item for a quick outfit that is stylish but effortless. Need an outfit? Well, oversized jackets can be worn with everything to either ‘dress-up’ or ‘dress-down’ an outfit; something as simple as a t-shirt with jeans/leggings to a simple black dress are few items that best work with denim jackets.
