Saint Isidore was born in Cartagena, Spain in 560 AD. He was brought up and raised by two loving parents with three other siblings, Leander and Fulgentius who served as bishops and Isidore’s sister although name unknown, occupied as an abbess. Most unfortunately, information is very scarce on Isidore’s early existence.
Life wasn't as easy as Saint Isidore grew up. He slowly uncovered his family’s treacherous teaching or discipline methods involving force and severe punishment. Ultimately, even his own brothers gave up Isidore to the duo’s personal cell and attempted to torture their sibling for stepping out of line. Years after Saint Isidore’s lockup, like most other people, became sick of this agony occupying as a prisoner.
