St. Francis Hospital Case Study

On December 22, 2017 at 0628 hours EMS and law enforcement was dispatched to 817 Cromwell Ave. in reference to an unresponsive infant. Officers arrived on the scene. EMS was working on the child and took the child by ambulance to St Francis Hospital in Muskogee. The victim is a 4 month old male. His name is Calix Hastings, DOB 8-19-17. An officer followed the ambulance to the hospital and stood by with the child until investigators could arrive on the scene to photograph the child. Once at St Francis Hospital, hospital staff pronounced Calix deceased at 0648 hours.
The mother of the child is Kristin Hastings, DOB 3-15-94. Kristin was extremely distraught and it was difficult for officers to obtain much information from her. What little
