Damon traveled to Geel and captured them. He executed the priest that helped Dymphna and attempted to convince her to marry Damon. When Dymphna refused, Damon killed Dymphna. Dymphna was only fifteen when she died. After her father left Geel, the residents collected her body and the priest and ladied then to rest in cabe. Ther Dymphna was honored. A church was built in honor of Saint Dymphna and when pilgrims was arriving in need of treatment for mental ills, that church expanded.The sanctuary was overflowing with individuals who needed help with anxiety, worries and fears.
