My saint name is St. Clare. St. Clare was born in Assisi, Italy in July 16, 1194. Clare's feast day is celebrated on August 11. She was a daughter of wealthy parents. Her parents were Favorino Sciffi her father and Ortolana her mother. They taught her how to read and writing. They also taught her domestic arts of spinning and needlework. Clare decide in early years that she was going to dedicate her life to god. she was caring and praying for the poor. Clare put aside food from her family to give out the needy in the streets.At the age 18 she heard St. Francis of Assisi preach during a Lenten service in the church of San Giorgio and asked him to help her live according to the Gospel.
