All of these can be found within the story. A dynamic character, usually the protagonist, is one who experiences major changes or growth throughout a book, short story, or any other various type of literary piece. Static characters, on the other hand, go through no such changes. Although he is the protagonist of the story, Conradin is actually a static character. However, he still has outstanding character development. Characterization is a very useful literary device when writing a piece of literature. This is used to develop a character in a story, help the reader understand the character better, and even make it easier to comprehend his thoughts.
