These days, a lot of money is invested by big companies in science and research as well as in in crazy events. These crazy events are rare and might happen once or twice every year. But is there a link between the two? That is what happened with Felix Baumgartner and with the company Redbull. They organized a huge mission that took around six years to develop and prepare. Redbull named the project: Stratos. Stratos was an event that was supposed to break human limits and give new and important medical and scientific data. Felix Baumgartner was going to jump out of a little compartment at over 128 100 feet (39 045 meters) and he would be the first man to break the speed of sound in a freefall. I see a lot of important and positive stuff from Stratos because all around the world, people talked about it and will be in the history books for a long time. Breaking human limits, setting new world records and at the same time helping science is a very positive thing to do. We should always try to surpass ourselves.

For me, Stratos was the second biggest event of the year 2012. In first place was the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. For me Olympic games are very prestigious and because I love sports so much, it’s an event I cannot miss. I think that Olympic Games are also more popular around the world because there are a lot of sports involved, there is also the ceremonies and the history around the events. But Stratos and events like that also contribute in helping people having fun and appreciating the determination and the work of others.

In conclusion, it is for sure important that events like Stratos continue to happen and that companies continue to invest money in them. They help us feel good, they are so impressing to watch and they help science. Stratos will be known and recognized
