I died.

Just kidding. I thought I died but I really just had a really bad dream. I also wetted I my pants, so it’s kind of embarrassing. The nightmare that I had was about the evil WORK-book of Springboard. It all started off while I was turning in my bed trying to sleep, I appeared in a desk chained by my hands and feet with handcuffs. I struggled to get free, but the demon form of my teacher stared me down and whipped me.

The sidewalk beneath my feet has begun to erode away, pieces of rock and fragmented cement escaping onto the barren street. Weeds have sprouted between the cracks, and bright-yellow dandelions poke their faces towards a dull, overcast sky. My sister is dragging her feet. The soles of Layna’s shoes roll against the grit, and the grating noise gnaws away at my unravelled nerves.…

At the age of twenty, what girl would even think about her boyfriend proposing? I know that every girl dreams of her wedding day, how it would look, and the way it would turn out. Planning a wedding is not an easy task like everyone thinks it is. Planning my wedding involved three main things; the date for the wedding, the type of dress that I would wear, last but not least, would be the type of venue I was going to have. Another main important thing is, where it would take place.…

Many people in my family had issues with substance abuse and addictions including my father. Although, I was raised by my mother and grandmother, my father’s actions and behaviors negatively impacted my life. As I looked out of the bus window, half awake from sleeping on the bus ride, I saw a large blue structure with flashing lights at the top jutting into the partly cloudy spring sky. To the right of it was another one, similar looking, but was yellow and red and was somehow even taller than the blue one. I then nervously looked down the aisle out the windshield at the three lane road, each lined with cars and other buses, that was headed toward the island-like peninsula. As we lurched slowly down the road a little bit at the time, a gate appeared with lettering on top that read, “Welcome to Cedar Point.” Just two weeks ago, Mrs. Scharpenberg came into our 2nd period Advanced Placement Language class with a signup sheet, stating that we could go on the annual AP field trip to Cedar Point.…

    1) Reactions, reflections, and questions came to mind when rereading my cultural autobiography. After rereading my cultural autobiography, I am still in complete agreement with everything I stated. When I wrote the autobiography, at the beginning of the course, I had only a surface level understanding of the nature of the multicultural content. Now that I know that much of the literature on cultural competency casts White people into a light of unearned privilege, racism, prejudice, and ignorance of their own culture, I am even more satisfied with what I discussed in my essay. I cannot help but recall the question and answer format dialogue between Derald Wing Sue and several White students, in Sue’s 2008 text, that he insisted were representative responses for the population.…

I am Manson, not that names really matter, it's just another label somebody else placed over you. I was born in small town, Kaneri 1968, named after a secret society that existed before the World War I. Back then the land was deserted and lost in the maps, hence the favorite destination for wanderers and the once who seek to flee but now decades later every crack and corner you can spot here is something every painter would crave to capture on a canvas. In this town, most people earn their livelihood out of the land.…
