The melting warmth of the white porcelain sends a ray of sunshine through the soft, pink ,palms of my dead hands, causing my fingertips to bud like pink tulips in the Spring. Licking my sharp teeth, the stinging sensation of spearmint waltzes on my tastebuds. My index finger pushes pressure on a small, smooth piano key, and a waterfall caves into my eardrums, obliviating my sleep deprived thoughts. The sizzling and popping of the green leaves mending themselves with the white and yellow ooze on the scorching hot stove, sending a fragrant aroma of fresh Gouda through the air. My long ,naked ,legs tilting north and south, and the feeling of my cold pinky toes crammed inside a border of cold, hard, leather. Continuous stomping of sharp heeled …show more content…
Sinking my prickly eyelashes shut, I blindly stir the sandpaper like stick around the sizzling white cup, creating clouds of pale cream and caramel swirls, sending an intoxicating yet addicting scent through my nostrils, drowning out the high pitched singing and the fresh smell of buttery waffles. One, maybe two or three little paper bags of sugarlicious sand find their way into this small porcelain cup, disappearing like the white rain into the waves of the caramel sea. Intensely, the rapidness of the wooden stick increases , twinkling in my ears like a teacup, round and round until it conceives giant twisters. And with that, the calescent mug of amber rain singes the top of my pink lips, one wet sip at a time. The warming sensations and the richness of the Robusta bean slither down my clammy throat like a venomous viper, surging my veins with freshly brewed poison. The sugarlicious sweetness of the rain sprinkles its way onto my palate, sending a slight grin through my porcelain teeth. The cream clouds deliciously evaporate, leaching its way to the roof. As my eyelashes begin to take flight, I feel dangerously

Journal Entry 1 – Descriptive Entry (Act II - Proctor) Diary, Although I had promised myself to never open and write in this book again, I can’t help but feel that today’s events should be recorded in here so I can set them away from my mind. If the memories are remembered in here, I wouldn’t to hold remember them in my mind. I had just come back home after a long day of planting and tending the land. I placed my rifle down beside the fireplace as I was welcomed in by the wave of warmth, a distinct contrast from the merciless chill outside.…

It is in that way - forehead to forehead, hips aligned instinctively, heaving chests and groans of hunger and desire - that I crash and fall, everything I know up to that moment falling away from me while he races to his end just after me. He presses his face into her shoulder and crumbles as our bodies offer up shudder after shudder of release until all that remains is a quivering suspension of movement and then silence. I run my fingers through his damp curls, the smell of sweat mingling with the various aromas of the candles – vanilla and pumpkin that is intertwined with the lingering salt…

Udit Jain AP English Composition Period 4 Mrs. Moyer Vanquishing a Mountain I woke up early that Sunday morning and made a solid cup of Starbuck’s French Roast. Typically, I’d put two spoons of beans in, but that day I added an extra scoop, reckoning that the additional caffeine would assist me in the event that was going to unfold. I glimpsed over at the shut shades to see the sun’s rays sifting through. With my hot cup of coffee in grip, I trudged across the living room floor towards the window.…

It was filled with ripening fruit trees and undying rows of willows whose branches fell kindly among the flowers. You could hear splashes of raindrops as they hit the ground before your feet with wind dancing a warning of storm around your arms. I ignored winds warnings, for bearing witness to cold rain upon hot summers shoulders seemed rewarding enough. My hair would tangle and knot. It took days for my hair to go back to smooth.…

Mojos As I went to Mojos I choose to sit outside on the deck for a little while. The deck had three black, steel tables on it with four chairs at each table— which probably was not a smart idea to sit on since it was absolutely hot outside. When I sat down the uttermost elegant flowers caught my eyes . The flowers were vivid and vibrant, making them stand out from everything outdoors.…

My right foot questionably steps onto the navy blue designed carpeted room and a rush of cool presses up against my skin. This room... this room could be the beginning of my future. That makes it terrifying, but exhilarating all at the same time. I force my trembling body to push through the nerves and my body straightens with confidence like a warrior entering his battleground. Cleanliness tickles my nose and my eyes are drawn to what looks like golden pillows on wheels.…

I must use caution though, it would seem this petty band is equipped with weapons made of silver, oh dear, Fredrick must really have taken that drinking incident personally to put so much effort into robbing me. I suppose it's time to remind him of why my realm is much larger than his! The grass is white which captures the reader’s attention immediately because of the contrast of reality. It is an unusual, yet ideal landscape for kids: it is soft, inviting, and safe. “The sun burns crimson bright” (4) which depicts a remarkable image of the sky in its most beautiful form on a warm, sunny day: perfect for playing outdoors. The peppermint wind vividly illustrates what this magical place feels and even smells like; what child would not want to visit a land where the breeze smells like candy? Although there is no particular scheme, the rhyming creates a playfully fun bounce that captures the young audience’s attention.…

Excitement built up inside of me. We were about an hour away from my aunt’s house; I loved the thought of being with my family, but I also loved the daring and silly activities that we did when we got there. That summer, we had gone to a strawberry farm. I thought that it was going to be incredibly monotonous and absurd; but I was wrong. It was torrid and unbearable in the summer heat, and when we arrived there, I sat back and dreaded the walk, but the summer brought great things to that…

This story has imagery and mood that sets the feeling for it. Imagery makes ordinary things that are described more interesting to imagine. One that really appealed to my senses was when the two friends are baking their fruitcakes, and the author describes the scene as: “Eggbeaters whirl, spoons spin round in bowls of butter and sugar, vanilla sweetens the air, ginger spices it, melting.” This appealed to my sense of sight because I could see in my mind the ingredients being mixed together. It also appealed to my sense of smell because I feel like…

The church gym has never been this packed before, of that I'm sure, but this is New Year's Eve. The room is dark, lit only by the big colorful lights set up on either side of the DJ's table. The colors turn off and the strobe light turns on, turning the swarming mass of dancing teenagers into something out of an old movie. One of the ones where there's a flicker of darkness between each frame, giving things a stop motion kind of feel. Up close like this the light is painful and makes my head hurt more than the pounding bass already has.…
