Spring Breakers, A Wonderful Waste of Time and Money A phrase that is meant to excite people has never sounded so disturbing. “Spring break,” said by grill-wearing, rapping drug-dealer “Alien” is so repetitive and serial-killer-esque, yet it’s sadly the most interesting detail about this Harmony Korine movie. Once getting past the fact that Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, and Ashley Benson are a part of this awful creation, you unfortunately end up furious about the boring, lacking, sloppy, and excruciatingly painful storyline of this pointless and sickening drama/action-adventure. The plot, which is arguably absent, begins with best friends Candy, Brit, Faith, and Cotty, portrayed by Vanessa, Ashley, Selena, and Rachel Korine respectively, who aim for an unforgettable spring break adventure, and they sure get one. After robbing a restaurant to pay for their spring break adventures, they get thrown in jail only to be bailed out by James Franco’s “Alien.” They soon realize their hunger for a thrilling and exciting spring break will get them in all kinds of sticky situations, which may or may not …show more content…
But I guess since the movie is about spring break there had to be body parts flying all over the place, because nude girls jumping and partying and booze raining down are a good representation of what goes on at the beach during spring break. And as soon as you thought it was over, there go the boobs once again. I mean, if I didn’t know better, I would say a horny teenage boy wrote the script. The song “Everytime” by Britney Spears is greatly misused and unforgiving seeing as it was used in a violent scene, not to mention it was screeched out by Alien as he fake-played a white
