Spring Break Research Paper

It was the day before spring break where I knew my life would be forever changed! I was in the 10th grade and I have dreamed of always performing in the school talent show and winning the title of ‘’ Most Talented’’ and of course the cash prize. I knew this day would come where I would have to show my true talent of singing and confront my stage freight. Everyone in the school knew I can sing and they also knew I was shy but I followed my gut and signed up for the show anyway. It was the most terrifying thing I have ever done but it was the best thing I’ve ever felt; I felt liberated like I can do anything and nothing could stop no matter what. I rehearsed and went over the song and even though I can literally see myself running off the stage because I was so scared I pushed through, I sung and danced my heart out and it felt amazing and I also sound great too. Everyone enjoyed my amateur performance and was sure I was going to take home the prize. Although I was excited about the positive feedback I still practiced till I couldn’t practice anymore. Three weeks have gone by and the day has come to show the world what I really can do. I did my own makeup, curled my big hair painted my toes white so you can see it while I danced so wildly. My outfit consisted of black cotton leggings, a red mini printed skirt from Forever 21 and a black long sleeve shirt. I chose to be barefoot for this performance because I really felt it would bring the whole thing to life and add a different element to what everyone else was doing. Six o clock came and it was the time everyone has been waiting for as I’m walking I can feel my knees shaking and my psalms are sweaty; but I knew I couldn’t back out at the last minute, I just had to leave my heart on the stage floor.
