Characteristics of Innovation

A key feature in closing the gap that exists between common practice and best practice is basically the capacity of health care workers to quickly spread new ideas and innovations. Pockets of brilliance exist in health care systems, however understanding of these better concepts and practices regularly remains inaccessible and indefinite for others. The characteristics of my idea that made it stress-free to spread and implement were relative advantage, simplicity, compatibility, trialability, and observability.

To start with, leadership is a component that involves setting the outline and allocating responsibility for the spread. It helps align incentives and goals of the institute with the subject to be spread. The setup for spread identifies the target group and the preliminary plan to reach all spots in the target group with the innovative ideas. The component of better ideas, describes the new concepts and confirmation to make it known to others.

The social system is a component that aids in understanding the relations among individuals who are to adopt the innovative ideas. The social system is a key in eradicating hindrances to spreading developments. The communication component entails sharing responsiveness and technical facts regarding the new ideas. A suitable communication method should be selected to offer and build responsiveness about the idea developments. Knowledge management is a feature used in observing and applying the best systems for spread as they arise from the organization’s practice. Knowledge management is a key component in capturing and conveying spread information. Measurement and feedback are the feature used in collecting and utilizing data regarding the process and results to observe the spread development.
