“How To Spot Fake News “ by Eugene Kliey and Lori Robinson, is an article based on ways to distinguish between real viral news stories and ones that are fabricated .Social media has always been the main gateway for fake news stories and as Kiely and Robinson put it “ Bogus stories can reach more people more quickly via social media”. News seems to travels faster online then on paper, and many people seem to believe everything they see rather than pay attention to the details and research the truth.

It is known that social media is only filled with fake news stories, yet we still read on. On social media we follow our friends ,family members ,and people that we generally know or want to know, according to a article called “How To Stamp Out Fake News” by David, Pogue, “You’re following like-minded people , whose opinions you prefer" which means that you will potentially see whatever your family member, friend ,or coworker like and it was your choice to add them. Email is another thing we can not blame the email companies for allowing spam email to go into our inbox. Many times, social media and the news have no control on how information is twisted since they post the news out there publicly, people at times are the ones to change names or even whole story lines just to show a person in a negative light .It is up to us to check the dates of these articles and not to fully believe whatever is written. Some stories are just distorted truths and we should always look further into detail in each claim. So I can understand how the fault of fake news would be of the reader since it is up to you to read an article it is not an
