Sports photography refers to the genre of photography that covers all types of sports. Most photographers start off with a bachelor’s degree in photography or journalism. Other’s have to go through a one year intensive certificate program that focuses on the craft of photography. After finishing school with a good educational base, photographers continue to learn from employers and other professionals. If you start off being an assistant to a professional photographer it allows you to develop more skills.
Sports photographers usually work for a newspaper, magazine, agencies, and sometimes working as a freelancer selling their work to related publications. This job requires a lot of travel and long hours. The average income for sports photographers
