Michael, In order to properly determine a suitable definition for sports marketing, the general marketing definition needs to be defined. While the overall definition and the four p’s of marketing covers the basics of what sports marketing is, the definition does not begin to define what sports marketing is in my opinion. The most popular form of sports marketing in my opinion is that of marketing merchandise outside of the sports field via athletes. What do you think is the most effective manner of sports marketing?
