You've felt the feeling of exercising a lot and sweating but water just isn't enough you need something more like a sports drink. When you exercise a lot you lose salts in your body that need to be replenished with a new salt which are known as electrolytes. Why do the sports drinks make you feel awake? The reason is simple, the drinks contain these electrolytes which are like a food for the cells in your body. Amazingly these can also be found in batteries.

Why isn't water just as good as a sports drink for replenishing your lost water? They always say “Drink a lot of water.” Water just keeps you from dehydrating but sports drinks have the electrolytes to give you the energy and boost you need to keep moving. By replacing the electrolytes
