The sports industry keeps growing and growing with each and every day. Normally when people think about jobs in sports they think about careers in the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), National Hockey League (NHL), National Basketball Association (NBA), and college sports. And typically the jobs they think of our players, couches, and general manager. With this mind set people believe it is hard to get jobs in the sports industry but what they do not realize is that there are so many jobs in sports. For example, you can work in the offices of the professional teams, college, high school, gyms, etc. One can work with the media just for sports. For sports performance there are jobs for physical therapist, directors of sports performance -for gyms and schools, directors of membership – for gyms, physical education coach – for elementary through high school, athletic directors for schools and the state. For sports performance there are jobs for sales managers of different sporting stores, office and special events planners for professional, college, and organizations, there are sports producers for companies like National Broadcasting Company (NBC), and accountants for all organizations like the Special Olympics. Lastly, sports promotion there are marketing jobs, promotions coordinator, event planners, and camera crew. I have an interest in sports dietitian because I love to help people get the healthiest they can be. The training and educational requirements include: a bachelor’s degree in clinical nutrition or food and nutrition. Next would be a master’s in nutrition or exercise physiology. Then needing to complete of didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program. Next is a minimum of two years’ experience in nutrition counseling. The specific job roles and responsibilities include individual nutrition counseling with players. Where you keep track of their health, education them in healthy eating, and counseling. Creating menus for players. Managing budget for food, coordinating special nutritional needs while they are away, and educating them on health. ("Sports Dietitian Job Description",
