Wile excelling in basketball and six-man football, I was taught important life skills. I have been team captain for both sports from my freshman year, this has put me in team leader positions where I was required to develop leadership skills. Throughout high school, I participated in multiple organizations that furthered my academic education and added to my accomplishments, such as National Honor Society, 4-H, FFA, and Letterman’s Club. All of which I held an office position, including treasurer, secretary, and vice president. I will also take classes that will further my knowledge of business management and livestock production, but I will not be pursuing a degree in this. I hope to attend college and take such classes that will continue my education of livestock and rangeland management which will benefit my ability to manage my own cattle operation. Aside from my plans of a cattle operation, I hope to continue my passion for aviation in a way that will aid in the modernization of my cattle operation but will also add financial support on expenses. Throughout and after college, I hope to participate in rodeo as a saddle bronc rider at the local, college, and with luck at the professional level. In an effort to keep tension and disputes at a minimum within our broken family, my father left the family ranch that had supported us for the past 12 years. He had gifted his half of the property to my 8 and 14 year old sisters and I. Because my young sisters are not capable of making decisions or working their share, I am entrusted to manage and work for their shares until they are mature enough to decide what they want to do in life and what they want to do with their shares of the ranch. I have willingly accepted this responsibility and burdened myself with this task so that my sisters are able to proceed with their childhoods without being affected by the results of the still recent divorce. No young individual should be restricted by the responsibilities suddenly entrusted to them in a situation like this, but by taking all of this responsibility upon myself my sisters will not need to experience this hardship.
