We were given the task to explore three websites that define their own version of what sport management actually in tales and how it is applied in the real world as we know it. The first website we were ask to look through for a definition is called the North American Society for Sport Management. When looking through this site I found they stated that NASSM is actively involved in supporting and assisting professionals working in the fields of sport, leisure and recreation. I think this definition is short, sweet, and to the point. The last site we were asked to explore was the Athletic Business Magazine. I could not find a concrete definition of their version of sport management, but I did find out what they are about in promoting it. They stated that for decades, decision-makers in the multibillion-dollar athletic, fitness and recreation industry have regarded Athletic Business as their "must read" resource for the latest and best information available to help ensure their professional success (© Athletic Business Media Inc., 2013).
