Spontaneous: describe me as a writer
As a writer, spontaneous is one word that best describes me as a writer because I like to write without planning anything out and see where my thoughts goes. Occasionally, I can get stuck with writer's block and don't know where my thoughts are going. When I sit down to write, it’s mostly in a comfortable place, well-lit area, and well organized. The area must be free from distractions, so that I am able to focus and gather my thoughts and ideas. Sometimes I like to write down my thought that will help support and provoke more ideas. When my thoughts become foggy, I like to rise up my seat and walk around speak out my ideas to myself. I find this very helpful to jump-start my brain activity and clear my

My own ideas have to room to grow and creatively wonder without being bogged down by the idea of a prompt. When my thoughts are free flowing I find I am thinking much more about what I am saying and what I want to say rather than what should be said. I find this to be an extremely positive influence in my writing- all due to the ideas that Graff lays out in this article “Clueless in Academe How Schooling Obscures the Mind”. In relationship to this I have found that the time in which it takes me to create these ideas and even the writing process in general has decreased. I find this to be a direct…

Writing is an art; we create our thoughts in your mind and express it on paper. Once we start writing we keep getting new ideas and when we re-read what we wrote, sometimes it might surprise us. I like to write during early mornings or in the evening when it is quiet. My reading table is facing towards the window so when fresh air is in my room, fresh ideas generate inside me as well. I make sure to have some healthy snacks and a bottle of water in front me…

To clarify, there is no "right way to write." However, the title probably caught your eye, so, I might get a view or two. I start my writing process with the pre-writing process, which is strictly done on pen and paper. My pre-writing process is very similar to "stream of consciousness writing," in which I just let my thoughts on the subject of the writing flow out. Then, as my pre-writing grows in size, I try to find a focus within the thoughts and give myself a direction to write in.…

Critical reflection Reflecting back on what I have learnt about myself as a writer is that it is okay to be aware of your weaknesses and using the necessary tools to support and strengthen them. As a writer it is good to step outside of your comfort zone and experiment with new genres. Let your writing take you on an emotional journey, and let your emotions lead your writing into a new journey. As a writer you need to expand your vocabulary and use powerful descriptive words to really create a mental image for your readers. I have learnt to understand the importance of sentence structure, drafting, and proof reading and not over using commas creating sentences that are too long.…

Describe Yourself As A Writer I’ve come to realize that after years of writing papers, I’m actually a better writer than I give myself credit for. I’ve noticed over time that I’ve advanced in how I structure my paragraphs, however, not so much with my sentences. It’s like making a cake look delicious at first glance with frosting and decorations, but then you take a bite and there 's way too much sugar or it 's overcooked in the inside. My strength in writing includes: using better words to describe what I’m writing about, spelling complex words, creativity, and passion.…
