Exciting news that will transform education around the world
Knoxville, Tennessee - March 31, 2016 World PhilanSupport has awarded Spokes of Hope its annual Future of Education Grant, worth $1 million dollars over the next 2 years. According to College for America (n. d.), each year, organizations that are said to be making “monumental” efforts to increase access to quality education around the world receive this award.
Based in USA, Spokes of Hope is a nonprofit organization that provides bicycles to students in communities where transportation is an issue in different countries in the world. Spokes of Hope has many partner programs located in other countries, including: Canada, Guatemala, Mexico, and Haiti.

This organization provides charitable donations to people in need all over the world. Additionally, the organization provides financial support to smaller charitable organizations to support their efforts. Speaking with the Director of World PhilanSupport, Mr. Phil N. Thrope explained that they are proud to offer the Future of Education grant to Spokes of Hope. “They are an organization whose mission of expanding access to education around the world is immensely important. It is organizations like these that really improve quality of life for people around the world.” He added.
Mr. Greg believes that Spokes of Hope could not be where it is, if it was not for organizations such the World PhilanSupport. He explained that this award represents the hard work that everyone at Spokes of Hope is putting in to make sure they provide support to students around the world.
Spokes of Hope will not be the last organization to receive the award, as the PhilanSupport plans to give the Future of Technologies grant, later this year. Mr. Phil asserts that “World PhilanSupport has had the pleasure to provide millions of dollars in charitable funds to organizations that make a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate all around the world.” Clearly, the organization intends to keep doing the amazing work they are doing.
