Splinter Cell Blacklist – Sam Fisher is back, but with a different voice!
Splinter Cell Conviction was one of my favorite games of all time. I just loved the way the game turned out to be and Sam Fisher was gritty and fearless. It reminded me a lot of the movie Taken. Similar to Liam Neeson going after his daughter, Sam is hunting for the person who allegedly killed his daughter. Both Liam and Sam have extraordinary abilities when it comes to hand to hand combat and gun fights. Apart from this, Conviction is the last game that Michael Ironside did the voice for Sam Fisher. His husky deep voice will be sorely missed. Splinter Cell Blacklist is the next installment in the Splinter Cell series and it marks the return of Sam Fisher. He is more mature and experienced but is like a whole new person

Apart from the voice everything else was spot on. Yes, the story could’ve been a little deeper, but overall the game felt like watching a fast paced action thriller movie. The game takes place six months after the events of Conviction. There is a new group called the Engineers who’ve announced a series of attack on the United States, until the U.S. troops from nations abroad are recalled. The title of the game Blacklist, refers to the series of attacks that have been planned by the Engineers. The President gathers up a team of four, names it the Fourth Echelon and assigns them the duty of taking down the Engineers.
The whole game is completely about taking down the Engineers and stopping their attacks on the United States. The Fourth Echelon are headquartered in the Paladin, a specially designed military cargo plane. It is a technologically advanced plane and the missions are selected and played from within the plane almost throughout the entire game. The antagonist of the game, Majid Sadiq, is a former MI6 agent who has gone rogue. I liked his character a lot and it gave a sort of Mission Impossible feel to

3rd Person Action Adventure Quantum Break's gameplay sections can be divided into two distinct halves: enemy engagements and exploration. As in the narrative, the time travel theme is entrenched well in the gameplay, as Jack gradually gains several superhuman powers revolving around time over the course of Quantum Break. For instance, Jack gains the ability to run faster than time itself, slow it down in a specific area, and ensconce himself in a shield protecting against incoming fire. He can also highlight enemies and objects of interest in his immediate vicinity, throw a time-imploding grenade, and dodge through time. Each of these skills can be further improved upon by spending chronon charges; collectibles strewed about each of the stages.…

Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival appropriately used lighting in many ways to convey mood. For instance, throughout his film nearly every scene is background lit rather than foreground; separating the subject from the background, as well as creating a sense of depth. Ultimately contributing to much of the mood, particularly when Louise and Ian make first contact with the heptipods, the majority of light was in the background. This technique put most of the emphasis on where there was light, the background. Even more it creates the sense that the characters in the scene are insignificant, and that their actions are what progress the story.…

Gone Home is a narrative exploration game by the company Fullbright that stars Kaitlin Greenbriar returning to her family home after being overseas. Gone Home is often questioned on the complexity of its game play, and is often thought to be more of an interactive story, however it does fulfill the requirements of a game and I will be discussing various game play mechanics in Gone Home such as the different objects and their attributes, rules for game play and the overall design that help to support the narrative, as well as how all of this is used to create an effective story and why this is the best medium for such a story. I will start by giving the briefest of summaries; the game opens with Kaitlin, who we control in a first person perspective, returning home to a locked house all set in the 90s Their is a note left…

Latin America throughout the early 16th century was a time of constant conflict between the different powers that were trying to occupy more land, the church, Spain, and Portugal. Through the lens of the film The Mission, directed by Roland Joffé, this conflict illuminates as the Church’s influence becomes threatened by the Portuguese King. This causes the Cardinal’s decision to go against his own peaceful values and opinion henceforth, giving Spain and Portugal the ability to conquer the native’s land. By looking at the common trend of the negative effects civilization partakes over human beings, we can see that a lot of Rousseau’s values are a leading foreshadow for how certain characters react in certain scenarios in the movie. One character…

The Power and Broadness of A Human Mind. One of my most important takeaways from the movie, Inception, is the fact that one's dream, fantasy, or illusion might be his or her most important reality in life - maybe sometimes in the future. The movie itself just seemed like a mere or an ordinary dream - like how every normal human being experience a dream in their sleeps. However, in this movie, there is arguably more to it than just an ordinary dream, in terms of its meaning. In fact, from my personal experience, I have had many dreams, that actually turn out to be realities, at one point in my life.…

The reestablished vitality of our capital in the 21st century has returned London to the cutting edge of the contemporary novel. As in the Victorian time, the production of riches and the general population this pulls in present the writer with unrivaled open doors for characters enmeshed in private enterprise, defilement and philanthropy. Elizabeth Day's third novel is around four outsiders – independent multimillionaire Howard, Ugandan exile Beatrice, widowed Carol and correspondent Esme – whose lives converge for a brief period one summer. When we first experience them, Howard is assuaging his sporadic sexual tingle on an inn servant, Beatrice.…
