(3). Noah and Jude are a little eccentric, as when Noah was 13, he often described his discomfort and disgust as, “[Him barfing] bright green barf all over the table,” (20), and when Jude is 16, she often has conversations with her departed Grandmother. Noah’s point of view is told before his mother’s passing, so throughout the book, he mostly deals with his “feud” with Jude and his feelings for Brian, while Jude’s point of view is told after her mother’s death, where she must deal with making her mother happy with her again and keeping herself away from the charming and alluring Oscar.
