Spirituality, Faith, And Health

Introduction
Spirituality, faith, and health are much like the mind, body and spirit. The most ideal situation is to have all of these components balanced. Spirituality is what someone that has a sense of spirituality has. Faith is the confidence someone has in what they believe in. Health is the absence of illness or any type of injury. Spirituality, faith, and health are connected and is capable of working wonders in one’s life when on the same accord.
When it comes down to spirituality there is not really a precise definition. “Spirituality can be described as almost any kind of meaningful activity, personal growth, and or blissful experience.” (Awaken Consciousness) Humans are spiritual beings. Often more times than not spirituality is confused with religion. A person can be spiritual and not religious. Religion is taught, but humans are born with a spirit. While both can be mutually exclusive they are not synonymous. Health despite popular belief is not the absence of symptoms. This is because symptoms can be suppressed with medications while the patient can still have the underlying problem still roaming in their body. When symptoms are suppressed they create an illusion of “fake healthiness”. Health is the state of being free from illness or injury, a balance of physical, mental, spiritual, and social wellness. (Oxford Dictionary) Medication tends to only treat the physical body but it is no secret that the human body is more than just physical. The human body contains the mind, body, and spirit.
