Her parents have always been there for her and she knows that they will be there for her for the rest of her life. Her house back in Rocklin gives her security because she feels safe there and knows that she will always be welcome there. Her parents give her security because she knows that they will protect her no matter what and will do pretty much anything to make sure she is safe. A nurse needs to be able to use the Spiritual Assessment Tool to get to know their patient’s spirituality better. This includes asking them where they get their strength, peace, and security. Spirituality can help one’s health because it prevents illnesses and can help one cope with an illness better. It is important for a nurse to understand their own spirituality and their patient’s.
