If parents would understand that God has mandated them to teach their children, Christian parents would be more likely to become the teachers of spiritual truths to their children. God has mandated it so much so that He expected the Israeli parents to follow His instruction of teaching their children during the everyday walk and events of life, through intentional and modeling means. Furthermore, if the parent knows that his or her child is able to learn, he or she is more willing to teach as well. Lastly, if parents learn how to teach, the will be able to do it. Therefore, an effective ministry that a church may provide is a training seminar where they offer books “and other training programs to help parents learn how to teach their preschoolers spiritual truths.” Hence, if parents know that God has called them to teach, and faithfully believe it to be true, if they know that children can learn spiritual lessons, and if they could learn how to teach to their children, these parents …show more content…
Explain why teachers need to vary their teaching methods when teaching children.
Since children find relevance for themselves in regards to concepts, different teaching methods would allow them to engage. According to Paula Stringer and James Hargrave of LifeWay, children are able to perceive if the material is meaningful. Therefore, if the method feels to be not meaningful, the child will not learn it. Certain students will find art meaningful; thus, a teaching method that involves art would engage those students. Others may enjoy music, and, thus, a teaching method that incorporates music would engage those who enjoy music. Using different methods would ultimately engage different students.
