In the Catechism of the Catholic Church, there is a section titled Charity. Charity is about the acceptance of God’s love. When man is saved from God, God reveals himself, and his love, to man. It is man’s decision whether to accept or deny God’s love. If man accepts God’s Divine Charity, he recognizes God as the one true creator and accepts his love in return. If man were to deny God’s offering of love to man, it is considered a sin against God’s love. There are multiple ways one can sin against God’s love. If one were to refuse or neglect God’s love it could be considered the sins of indifference, ingratitude, or lukewarmness. Spiritual Sloth, also known as Acedia, is when one refuses to accept the beauty of God’s love. While the final way
