Starting college can be stressful and overwhelming. For many freshman students, they just became adults, and now they are on their own for the first time. Not only that, but now they have to study intensely, and take on more responsibilities. If this major transition is not handled in the right way, college could be a devastating disaster. Academics

A student will have old friends from home, which are going in different directions. If possible, this type of relationship should be maintained. However, relationships may become strained as both parties work with their busy schedules. For this reason, some old friendships may end. Therefore, it is crucial that a student develop new relationships around him or her. They should search for people who share common interests and are good influences. Spiritual Management
The most vital area that must be maintained is a student’s spiritual life. When schedules become extremely busy, it is all too easy for students to squeeze God out of their lives. Making time with God a priority is essential, otherwise, it likely won’t happen. Growing in God is maintained by reading God’s word, and praying. While being in a Bible college, it easy to let the Bible become a textbook. Many classes are Bible classes, and require intensive reading. While intensive reading may be a good thing, analyzing the Bible for its context and information, rather than personal application, can be unhealthy.
