Spirit Week Reflection

The legacy project Dominic and I made was purposed to change the environment of the school. There are many development factors that coincide with such project due to the effort put into the spirit week. Additionally the project was aimed for adolescents who currently go to Western Technical Commercial school. The reason why we tried to tackle such age group was because of how we were determined to make Western Tech a better school in spirit and unity. Dominic and I noticed that there is a lack of school spirit and unity, even when creating a survey for other students they thought that “there [also] is no school spirit” (Presentation). Clearly, we had an obligation to go ahead and start planning on how to undertake such issue.

Once the problem became factual, we started asking ourselves how we can actually make an effort to make the problem disperse. Going over the mass variety of ideas we thought that a spirit week would be the best because of how it could become an annual event and also with much planned details to the events inside such spirit week there then could be opportunities to deal with many issues seen around Western Tech. For example, because we know there is a lack of unity and spirit, we plan on allowing students to play a sports game so that they could team up and communicate. This

With the effort and full out thought put into this spirit week, we know it will be a success. We want students to feel welcomed into a community of love and friendship with differences placed aside. We want this spirit week to be annual so that students can be reminded of Western’s true roots. If Maslow was still around he’d be proud of our school and how it is taking next steps towards approaching the needs of students. So may this spirit week be fully embraced by Western Tech and may it also forward the school in a greater direction where it tackles the needs of its students and
