Spirit Animal

Decent Essays
What would your spirit animal be? If I had to choose an animal to describe my spring break, then I would choose a male lion. The reason that I would choose this animal is because the female lion brings the male lions his meals just like my mother bringing me all my food during break, also male lions use most of their time sleeping just like me during spring break, and the male lion is in charge of his pack.
` The first reason I would choose a male lion as my animal, is because the female lion brings him his food. Just like a male lion I lied around and my mom brought me my food. Also a male lion eats around 11 to 99 pounds of meat per sitting. I felt like I was eating my whole fridge during spring break, one night I ate a whole party size bag

whales needed to eat 40,000 over 6 years. 40,000 otters over 6 years / 10,960.67598 otters per whale over 6 years = 3.649 whales needed. 3) Three plausible hypotheses that could explain why killer whales are eating more sea otters: a) Killer whales are eating more sea otters due to other food sources like seals and sea lions declining in quantity in high populated killer whale areas. b) Massive population decline of the killer whales favorite prey—like the great whale—from human influence like over-hunting started a food chain disaster that led to a massive decrease in small marine mammal populations as killer whales moved from marine mammal to marine mammal. c) Whether human or environmental factors, changes in the abundance of sea lions and seals and/or in the food they eat could cause killer whales to have to search for another food source to maintain their average field metabolic weight and because sea otters are smaller in caloric content, more sea otters are required to meet the metabolic…

    Arnold Spirit

In books these days, it’s usually very hard to connect to the main character. Either the character will be a complete goody two-shoes, or the character is hardly described, which makes it difficult to imagine what the character looks or acts like. However, this is not the case with Sherman Alexie’s novel The Absolutely True Story of a Part Time Indian, as the author’s writing style is very effective at making the main character very relatable to the reader, and describing the main character and his surroundings. The book follows Arnold Spirit (also referred to as Junior), a teenager living in poverty on a Native American Reservation, who is seeking a better education and a better life than the people there. This seems unrelatable at first, mainly because a lot of the readers wouldn’t be at his level of poverty or in his situation, however, the author makes the character very easy to relate to.…

The article, Racism American Style and Resistance to Change: Art Education’s Role in the Indian Mascot Issue, by Elizabeth M. De La Cruz, centers around the negative effects that using Native Americans as mascots can have on the Native American community. De La Cruz points out that our ignorance has prevented us from seeing the error in our ways, thus the lack of understanding of Native American culture enables us to keep misinterpreting their culture and rituals by making them our school mascots. According to her, it is the job of educational policy makers to get informed and speak out against the Native American stereotypes that are being taught to children. In accordance to the author, I feel that the use of Native Americans as mascots…

In my Mexican culture they used animals in their daily life. Animals like donkeys and horses are used to carry maize, wood, water and even people to different locations within their city. Without them many of these people would need to take several trips on foot to gather the materials needed and travel on uneven dirt paths or mountains that are dangerous. In many aspects of the world there are different cultures that progressed over time. In the Creation stories from around the world the myths are from religious views and cultural background.…
