Spider Naevi

Spider naevi is a benign vascular condition. It can look like telangiectasia but they have a central red spot, which the vessels grow outwards. Making them look like little spiders. It is a collection of tiny dilated blood vessels that are all gathered together very near the surface of the skin. It is more common in women, particularly pregnant women and children of school age. It can generally affect healthy people and isn’t life threatening but can be a sign of an underlying condition such as liver disease. Spider naevi is usually 1mm to 10 mm in diameter. The central spot is red sometimes raised, while the vessels are reddish or pink. The symptoms of this lesion are the appearance and can be found on exposed areas of the skin such as the
