Spider Man Archetype Analysis

Decent Essays
In the story, Peter Parker uses his abilities for good, not evil. The archetype description of a hero says that they fulfill a task or to bring justice. Which to me, describes Spiderman as a hero archetype. When he fights the Goblin, he fights not for his own safety, but to save the lives of others. Bravery maybe another way that Spider Man fulfills the overall meaning of the Hero archetype. With his bravery instead of running away from his fears, he runs towards them.

Everyone has their weaknesses; Superman’s weakness was kryptonite, Akele’s was his heel, and the Wicked Witch of the West’s was water. Since I am part of “everyone” I have weaknesses, too. The key is creating goals to turning my weaknesses into strengths. Out of all the goals I could have come up with, three seem to be the best. One goal I have for this year is to write my paragraphs as fluently as possible.…

“Big Hero 6” follows any other “hero’s quest” archetypes - the call to adventure, the crossing of a new threshold into a place of great trial, and finally using his/her newfound wisdom to bring order back to the land. You can’t watch Disney’s “Big Hero 6” and not be satisfied with your care - it’s way too exhilarating and heartwarming, but more importantly, you wouldn’t want to make Baymax power down. “Big Hero 6” features parentless 14 year old Hiro Hamada (Ryan Potter), a techy boy genius, who initially tries his talents as a robot fighter. After his older brother, Tadashi Hamada (Daniel Henney), helps him realize his full potential, he begins studying at Fransokyo Tech as a member of the science research team. While there, he constructs…

As every hero does, spider man fights to save his society with braveness. However, fighting for glory became old-fashioned story since every violence in any case is illegal; they must fight and hide their statuses. As a result of laws, all heroes must wear their own dress. The ancient epic heroes save their nation, but never try to hide their honor, history, and status. When Beowulf introduces himself, he introduces his father and praises his family’s glory, “We are Geats, men who follow Higlac.…

The work I chose is from The Amazing Spider-Man Essentials volume 5. Using the McCloud's textbook, the style here is comparable to that in the range of numbers 60-62. The characters drawn appear to be more towards the realistic side of the triangle rather than iconic or cartoonish. I believe the artist used this style because they have the ability to make meaningful facial expressions while also being able to slightly exaggerate them as it isn't meant to be hyper-realistic. This can be seen at the bottom of the image attached, where the bad guy gets more intense so that the muscles in between his eyes tense up and his eyes begin to bulge; but the drawing still remains an image of a face with realistic qualities.…

As with almost every superhero fan I know, I fell in love with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in last year’s “Captain America: Civil War.” As such, despite some recent lackluster attempts at Spider-Man movies, I was extremely excited for Holland’s solo outing, even though Spider-Man is not one of my more beloved superheroes. For the most part, this movie proved a satisfying picture. Set a couple months after “Civil War,” Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Holland) is eager to become a full-fledged Avenger. He still has the suit Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) gave him, and he’s using it to fight lower level crime in New York City to prove himself to his ironclad mentor.…

“The Pro-Social Mission” If you think about what a superhero means to you, many answers may fly around like bravery, strength, or power. Very rarely do you ever hear about what exactly makes a superhero, super. In my opinion, I believe it is this pro-social mission that keeps them going on the never ending battle against the fight with evil. A hero can have as many powers or identities that they want to have, but the most important component of their being is that they have a specific goal in mind that will work for the greater good of not only the world, but the entire universe. These other two qualities, power and identity just reinforce who the superhero is.…
