Used famously for references in movie films, television shows, novels, and in photographs, the Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the most historical and recognizable landmarks in Egypt. Standing at 481 ft all and 756 ft wide, it is the oldest and the largest of the three great pyramids in Egypt; it is also the oldest of the 7 Wonders of the World. This enormous, triangular structure is completed out of pure stone and there are several debates among archaeologists on how it was humanly possible to build; the most accepted argument is the ancient Egyptians using ramps to stack the stones on top of each other.

This has led some archaeologists to believe that the Great Pyramid of Giza's role as the holders of the ancient king and queens’ bodies might be linked to the location of the Sphinx of Giza being in front of it, but many do not agree with the theory. Many do agree that some photographs of the pyramids would simply not look the same without the Sphinx in the photos.
