I apologize for never responding to that email you sent last year, it must have gone through my spam filter as I do not remember seeing it. Unfortunately, Monday and Thursday nights do not work for me because of marching band practice. Tuesdays are also tough for me, but any meeting before 5:30 should be fine. If that works with the days you are planning with the den families, I look forward to being a Den chief again. I cannot tell you exactly what the Webelo scouts will experience due to the fact I joined boy scouting in year 2 of Webelos, however, I know that they will begin to learn the basic boy scout skills that will help them make the bridge from cub scouts to boy scouts. Throughout my Webelos journey, I remember learning skills such as folding, raising, and lowering a flag. I also remember learning things such as your rights as an American. All of the skills learned in Webelos will be used again at some point in boy scouts. I am not entirely sure what we have events we have planned solely for interacting with the Webelos, but they should all try out the 194 Bedford day booth. Over the two years in Webelos, the cub scouts will need to make a decision on whether they want to join troop 194 or troop 114. Obviously, I recommend 194, however, the Webelos will begin to work closely with den chiefs from both troops, and I would love to help
