Pit bulls are a breed of dog that is mixed with a terrier and a bulldog. They originated from the United Kingdom in the 1700s. The pit bull was made for bloodspot , witch is hunting other animals, people, and fighting other dogs. Years later they had to stop the bloodsport, and Great Britain but a dog welfare out, but it didn’t stop them from fighting it just went underground and became a gambling thing. It soon would make its way over to the United States for dog fighting and hunting. So in the 20th century dog fighting was taking place in the in the U.S and Great Britain. In the 21st century the pit bull has a bad reputation because of what they used to do and what some of them still do. But some believe if they have an owner that …show more content…
Before adopting a pitbull know what you are getting yourself into. Know that you will be getting a loyal dog that will protect and do anything for there owner as a long as the owner treats the dog right. If you are adopting a pitbull that has been a fighting dog in the past you would have to be sensitive with the dog so they know you care and a firm with them at the same they know you care. The pit bull wants to feel the love from its owner it does not wanna feel unwanted, because that will make it rebaile, and attack. So with adopting a Pitbull you have to have the patience and be there for the dog because all it may know is violence, beating and yelling. Adopting pit bull could be easier if people trusted them and didn’t think they were so vicious and evil, also there could be a decrease in the pitbull population in the human society if people were to take the time out of there day to train them, and don’t stereotype the pitbull because the looks can be deceiving and they won't have a home because of how they …show more content…
Back then the were trained to be that way now in the 21st century they are still being saw as a bloodsport dog. Even though it’s not them that did it, its the owners that do it and make the evil. If you the pitbull has a good owner the dog will be a good loyal loving dog, but if you neglect and be abusive to the dog the dog will be evil and not wanna be loyal to you and will attack you. So if you have love for pitbulls and dont wanna see it hurt and be evil adopt one and show it all the love you can, but if you just want a pitbull to make money off them than you don't need one and should not be able to get one. If you have a good a heart and want a pitbull don't forget you will always feel safe because they will protect you and care for you because they are loyal to you. A pitbull will make you proud because of its loyalty and protection it will give the family.This is why Pitbulls should not be taken for granted, they don't deserve it and the people that take them for granted need to learn that the dog they have is a unique one, because no other dog will love you and care for you like a pitbull
