ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE “To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams”. I Samuel 15:22

My Dear friends,
I greet you in the most precious name our saviour Jesus Christ!
In our Christian walk, obedience is very important. God wants every one of us to be obedient. He demands not simple obedience but absolute Obedience.
What is absolute obedience? Absolute obedience is to be ready to carry out every instruction given by God. God requires prompt, complete obedience; nothing less is acceptable.Obedience to God’s commands is the true sign of our love for God. It is reading, hearing, preaching and doing the word of God. It is also living a holy life.Jesus says, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”[John 14:15]

Like Saul, Probably, there are some of you who may think ......‘It’s enough if I attend church on Sundays, give tithe, help the poor and so on.....My friend, God wants absolute Obedience. If you fail to keep the least of one of Christ's commands to his disciples, you are disobedient. God is very clear about disobedience. Disobedience is a sin. To obey God’s word is better than sacrifice. My Dear brother/sister do you adhere to the word of God? Jesus says, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.’” [Matthew 7:21]
Not everyone who claims to be a Christian is a Christian. Only those who are in a genuine relationship with Christ are the true Christians. Those who know Christ will want to obey him and follow His will. we may feel that some of the things He asks us to do are too hard, but we must remember that He promises to give us grace to do whatever He asks of us; we need only to be willing.
When faced with a point of obedience, it is dangerous for us to say, “ I think this” or “ I want that”. To be obedient to authority means to “take directive orders from an authority figure, obedience is practiced to avoid punishment or other unpleasant outcomes due to ignorance of the order”. Usually obedience is done out of fear or respect. Obedience to authority was shown when Luke was made to dig the hole and fill it back up again. When he hadn’t done it fast enough the captain would hit him continuously. Luke begged and pleaded for them to stop abusing him and that he would do whatever they told him and that he will never disobey them ever again.…

Fenwick; thank you for your post, it was enjoyable to read, and most enlightening. It is one’s opinion that it is true as you stated the most important leading any Christian can do involves leading someone to Christ. In addition, one would concur that three most important aspects of the Christian life are Bible study, prayer, and soul winning; with soul winning the most need in the leadership challenge. A leader must openly witness for the Lord before he is formally employed by the Church, he will not be much of soul-winner afterwards (Frank Damazio 1987, 113).…

It is a characteristic of human beings in all societies: obedience of God, parents, teachers, managers and any person having an authority. This may seem tyrannical, but it is not. Believe it or not, obedience is a part of the foundation of society. Without obedience, nothing would exist except for chaos and rebellion. Without compliance, stability would diminish and the productivity of the citizens becomes non-existent (Leveillee, 2011, p.1).…

To obey or not to obey Living in the 17th century England, a period when new capitalism and imperialism was first introduced, weakening the position of religion, especially that of Christianity, John Milton was concerned about people losing their faith and free will to exercise their religious believes. Free will, according to the dictionary, is the ability to make choices that are not controlled by fate or God. Milton’s epic poems, Paradise Lost and Samson Agonistes, argue that God gave human beings free will first because He wants human’s obedience that is formed by nature, not force; second because He wants human beings to actively redeem themselves by exercising free will. Milton starts the poem writing “Of man’s first disobedience”(Paradise…
