One of Betsy Devos’ speeches in August 2015 at the SXSWedu convention in Texas emphasizes her education vision on the issue of unequal education access in America. Her speech uses the propaganda technique of emotional appeal to convey messages about this social issue. In the speech, Betsy Devos uses a lot of emotional appealing phrases, such as calling traditional public education system a “dead end,” and labeling public schools as “low performing” schools (Strauss). If I, Ernest Howard Rockhill III was running for class president I would guarantee more freedom during learning labs. There would be no more teachers telling you when you can or cannot play ping pong with your bros. If this was true I could wreak havoc on Matt in ping pong. The principal of CSD, Connie Wessner would also make your day better by extending jump start, the break between second and third period by five minutes. If we had this extended jump start it would keep people from being so aloof, distant from each other.…

Deanna, leggy, beautiful, and daring, came a long way from a rugged childhood and the time of liquor bottles aimed at her mother’s head. So said a Washington Post reporter in 2008, “Councilwoman Deanna Flin is a fresh face and a breath of fresh air in D.C. politics.” In the eyes of her colleagues (boozing old school boys with potty mouths and potbellies), she personified Hillary Clinton, the little engine that would, if she could, overturn the political status quo. “Too big for her britches,” said one, which struck Deanna as funny, but not in the ha-ha-ha way.…

This country can go in two directions. The first way is up, with Clintons ideas and views I believe our country can become great and everything from trade to economy can thrive. The second way is down, with Trumps and his ideas to build a wall to keep immigrants out and his lack of commence sense and human decency.…
