There had always been controversy on the topic of restricting abortion. Those that are pro-life say that life begins at conception and that they law must uphold and enforce this concept because these unborn children don’t have a voice. While those that are pro-choice argue that life doesn’t begin at until the fetus is born because it cannot survive without the mother and is therefore not viable. But is there any common ground? Women who decide not to abort can get medical assistance during and after the pregnancy, assistance on housing, and on job searching as well. This can help those who are financially unstable to have children rather than aborting. According to ontheissues.org as of 2011 Donald Trump is pro-life because of personal experiences. Trump states “I support a woman’s right to choose, but I am uncomfortable with the procedures. When Tim Russert asked me on Meet the Press if I would ban partial-birth abortion, my pro-choice instincts led me to say no. After the show, I consulted two doctors I respect and, upon learning more about this procedure, I have concluded that I would support a ban.” So if he were to become President I am sure that he would move on these actions of either banning or restricting abortion. I support Trump’s decision on this topic because I feel that if there are restrictions on abortion then women who are aborting because of an unwanted child would think twice about what they are doing. I feel restrictions other than in the cases of rape, incest, and health would help women think twice about their decisions. If the government was to support women, during and after their pregnancy, financially then it would give them more confidence in their
