I knew this one-hour car ride wouldn’t go fast. Isn’t it crazy how one boring hour in a car can feel like an entire month? Today, my 17-year-old cousin Madison, my Mom, my Aunt, my 2 sisters Ella, Lilly, and I are visiting Pawsitively Furever Dog Rescue to adopt a dog! Or at least I hope so. We can’t adopt a dog in a car, let alone a moving car. Eventually, we drove to what looked to be a small brown house with a darker brown roof in a parking lot. Beside the house, there was some grass, and around the parking lot, there were some buildings. At last, the car screeched to a stop, and everyone hopped out. Eventually, we ran out of trees. Mom handed me the leash, I was in control now. I walked Muffin over to Dad, halfway there Dad saw Muffin, Muffin saw Dad. Muffin was the first one to do something, her tail started wagging like we’d never seen it before. Purposefully, I dropped the leash and watched as Muffin sprinted over to Dad. Just as I’d hoped, Muffin jumped right on top of Dad, happy to be
