Content area E, Specific Behavior-Change Procedures include the task list items E-12: Errorless Teaching (Behavior Analyst Certification Board, 2012). My submission for this content area is the Relias instructional video that was completed during SPE 565, which demonstrated errorless teaching.
Errorless teaching is a teaching method which limits the learner’s ability to make errors. The learner is prompted to respond correctly. The learner receives the highest level of assistance to ensure the target response occurs. The teacher or therapist does not permit the learner to choose the incorrect response. After each correct response, the behavior is reinforced. As the learner continues to respond correctly, assistance is gradually reduced
