One would be a Special Agent whom as which would be “investigating violations of laws relating to financial crimes such as credit card and access device fraud as well as computer based attacks on the nation’s banking” (Careers) for starters. The Uniform Division of the Service has many units and teams under it including the canine unit, Emergency Response Team, Counter sniper Team, Motorcade Support Unit, Crime Scene Search Unit, Office of Training and the Special Operations Section. You must be a U.S. Citizen, be between the ages of 21 and 37, hold a current and valid driver’s license, have 20/60 vision which can be corrected to 20/20 and have registered with the Selective Service System. Not only that but to move more forward in the hiring process you must have at least a bachelor’s degree and demonstrate superior academic achievement. If you pass that the next step is taking a series of tests to see if you have exactly what it takes to get the job done. You pass that and physical fitness is a must. It is a physical demanding job and Secret Service agents must be excellent shape and be in top physical condition. Background testing for obvious reasons and medical testing must be passed also. No one with a criminal background would be a candidate as one of the protectors of our president. The medical testing for any illegal substances is just something many and most jobs do in today’s world. No real way of getting pass a drug test especially at that level.
