According to the PR Newswire the Kellogg’s Special K Plan is proven to “drop an individual’s weight down six pounds in a matter of two weeks”.. An example that is used in this article is a study done in Loughborough University in 2002 by Dr. Robin Hooper using “Special K Red Berries, Crunchy Nut and Kellogg’s Special K”. The purpose of the study was to examine the changes that occur to body shape and if any changes in waist size occurs in result to effectively carrying out the diet. There were ninety-four volunteers, who were overweight. Each subject had a bowl of cereal of their choice for breakfast with semi-skimmed milk for.
