The individual will be responsible for teacing on campus, online, and hybrid courses. The applicant should have demonstrated expertise in content knowledge and/or university teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: teaching students with mild/moderate disabilities, assessment, cultural diversity, Response to Intervention models, Positive Behavior Support models, literacy, curriculum, development, and collaboration models.
The required Qualifications include: Earned doctorate in special education or related field or defense completed by start date: at least two or three years teaching experience at the elementary, middle, or secondary level; evidence of or strong potential for research and scholarship of national significance; content expertise on critical issues in special education and promoting access to the general curriculum; ability to work with, advise, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students; effective interpersonal and communication skills; and commitment to work collectively as a member of a dynamic
