My chosen area is the children and young people sector. In addition, the care setting I have chosen to look at is a special education needs setting, where the client has learning difficulties.
What is the children and young people sector?
The children and young people sector belongs to the special education needs settings, which is recognised by the government. The government is trying to help the children, by giving them the best accessibility that is out there.

However, in a special school with disabled students my research shows there would approximately be five to ten students per classroom, so that the teachers can pay special attention to everyone.

What different job roles are found in special education needs settings?
In the Northgate School, there are staffs for different roles such as: Therapist, Special education needs assistant, Head teacher, Deputy Head teacher (Primary), Deputy Head teacher (Secondary), and School Business Manager. They have more staffs than an ordinary school, to help children achieve their potential.
Therapist
A Therapist would need to communicate well with their pupils, so that they can help them with their emotional problems. For example, if they were having traumas, abuse, domestic violence, and family breakdowns, they would need to ensure to help the child to build confidence and cope with emotional intelligence.
They work with people aged 3-11 years and they generally work with the children on a one to-one-basic or even in groups of six children. Overall, a Therapist’s role is to keep the children producing positive behaviour when nobody is with them including their families. Special Education Needs
