Education is constantly changing. Students are being exposed to college courses as early as 8th grade in some places. Dual enrollment is viewed as a way to increase the number of high school graduates receiving multiple diploma seals as well as an opportunity to increase the number of students attending higher institutions of learning. DE is a strategy designed to improve both high school and college graduation rates (Bragg et al., 2006). Many view dual enrollment to be an essential tool for education; however, there are problems that must be addressed regarding the programs to ensure that high school graduates have full access to these opportunities.

High schools send in yearly reports regarding the number of graduates receiving specific diploma seals as well as the number of students dually enrolled in colleges and technical schools. These reports are reliable, relevant and consistent. The reports are not biased or opinionated; however, the surveys may not be as reliable being that they are subjective in nature. Students’ high school transcripts track individual students as they transition from high school to college. Quantitative survey research is a quantitative method in which the researcher poses some set of prearranged questions to either a group, or individuals. Heffner (2014) asserts that, “When we perform statistics, we are always testing for the null and therefore results of any statistical procedures are always stated in regard to the null hypothesis”. “This study will measure the effect of dual enrollment of high school students earning multiple diploma seals that are Career Technical Agricultural Education as well as students dually enrolled in colleges and technical schools. High school students as well as their parents who understand the benefits of high school students dually enrolling in college courses while in high school with the opportunity to take college courses on college campuses have a greater chance of graduating high school with a (CTAE and/or College Prep Diploma).
