A typical day from a typical freshman with a typical life was how the day of January 21, 2012 began. I woke up promptly at 6:15 like I did every single day and got ready. However today was just a little different because I had a soccer game that day. Typically, I would wear our school uniform but I was allowed to wear my jersey to school. The game I would play later that evening was our first area game and would consider us for the playoffs at the end of the season. However, it was what happened after the game that changed this typical day to a special day.
My parents dropped me off at school before heading to work. The moment I opened the door and got out of the car was when I felt like I was the king of the school with my unique navy jersey on. I felt like the typical big head jock …show more content…
She came over to where we were sitting and I decided it was my one and only shot to try and talk to her. So, I walked over to Destinee and introduced myself. Everything was going well and we were talking and getting to know each other while we were watching the Varsity boy’s game. Of course I flirted with her and did all those fancy flirting techniques that you see on T.V. and it was fun. However, I noticed she kept cheering for a guy on the team named Kenny. This guy was Asian as well and I made the assumption they were related to each other so I didn’t worry about it. Then I found out it was her boyfriend! I felt bad then for even talking to her because I knew my intentions was more than just being her friend. I knew I wanted to date her so the rest of the night was weird on that fact of that. The game ended and we said goodbye and I even got a hug which of course is a big deal to a freshman in high school. I left that soccer field with Destinee on my mind and knew it was wrong of me to even think about her since she had a
