Speaking in Tongues is a documentary that shows how the involvement of people with other backgrounds and languages actually works. It is very complicated for them to be involved in different environments and understand everything they are required to do. The character I found the most interesting was Jason. He is a 5th grader Mexican-American whose speaks English and Spanish. Due to the interaction in school, his Spanish is getting weaker and his English is getting stronger. His dad never went to school. He mentioned that he does not know English so eventually he would not be able to communicate with Jason.
