Living In America

Imagine starting a new life in a total different country than where you used to live in. It is very difficult trying to get used to it. You will probably face many struggles. Therefore, when I first came I was almost giving up learning English and getting used to the life here. However, now I am actually being proud of myself because I can speak English. This is my fourth year living in America and probably the last year that I will be ever living here. It is a great experience living here because I have learned so many great things such as language and culture here. I still miss my country because most of my family and friends lives there. However, there might be a chance you live with a friend, but you can’t be sure that she will even live with you that long. For example, maybe your friend will get into a college that is really far from the college you are going to and that will force you both probably to go your own separate ways and live by yourself. Also, some people don’t visit their parents for a long period of time which I think is definitely not fine. In my opinion, I think even if you turn eighteen you should still live with your family. Plenty of my friends would disagree with me because they actually really want to live without their family when they finish high school. Most of them say the reason they want to live by themselves is because at some part of your life you’re going to have your own family which also means living by yourself. Therefore, living by yourself after high school would be a great opportunity because you need to be able to learn and experience it. Living by yourself is very tough and scary. You’re going to miss your family a lot and a call will probably not be …show more content…
In fact, I always wanted to be the new student because in my old school whenever there 's a new student the entire school would talk about her. However, I was really scared going to school here especially public school because everyone spoke English and I didn 't know how to speak English at all. It was really embarrassing sometimes because people would ask me or try talking to me and I wouldn 't understand anything they 're saying which was really awkward. So one of my biggest fears was speaking with others in class. I wanted to speak English so badly to understand what they 're saying, but I always thought that I 'll never speak English. Basically speaking English was like a dream because I never thought I would be capable to do it. Although now I think learning English was really easy. It’s true I have faced lots of difficulties except it wasn’t hard as I thought it would be. In my country, schools are separate by gender. From my experience I actually prefer separate school. I’m so glad in my country there are no mixed school. Also, both public and private schools require uniforms. I was really excited about going to public school here only because you can wear whatever you want. However, now I miss wearing uniform because it was much easier. Now when I always wake up it takes me forever to figure out what to wear. Sometimes I feel like I have no cloths whenever I can’t figure what to wear
